IT Hardware Technician
We're looking for a highly organised IT Hardware Technician to join our team full-time in Borough, London.
We are an award-winning creative Studio and one of the most prolific multidisciplinary design and production practices working in art and entertainment. We create experiences for live music tours, festivals, art installations, experiential spaces, branding campaigns and theatrical productions. Treatment Studio’s expertise comprises multimedia content production, stage, lighting & set design, and the creation of interactive & mixed-reality environments, allowing for a seamless production and creative experience.
Day to day responsibilities will include
- Responsible for all day-to-day hardware configuration and maintenance
- Organising all hardware assets and operating system licenses
- Scheduled preventative maintenance on all systems
- Responsible for Level 3 switch management and for documenting and organising all network topology
Key skills required
- Has working knowledge of how to manage hardware assets in a way that is non-disruptive to the work-flow of the studio
- An understanding of computer hardware designs and builds including NAS/SAN architecture and network hardware topology
- A solid understanding of power and cooling as it relates to advanced computer systems and being able to consult with experts on those topics with fluidity
- A solid understanding of ISCSI
- Troubleshooting IT hardware
- Independent problem solving
- Standardise roll out of all new workstations.
- Experience setting up and maintaining virtual machines.
- Responsible for researching and testing latest technologies, doing Proof of Concept trials and recommending new hardware as it becomes available

- Experience with VR systems and hardware
- Exposure to large format screens/resolutions
- Exposure to projection mapping
- Interest in Midi, OSC, Dante protocols
- Understanding of video codecs
- Understanding of colour space
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Cyber Security
- Experience with AWS
- Interest in music or live events
- Interest in Mocap
Schedule
This is a full-time, in-house role, and you'll be part of our team at our Borough, London office. You will be required to work on-site Monday to Friday, and some occasional travel will be necessary.
